Nepal, Valley Kathmandu. Here among the rocks, clouds and light lives a goddess, descended from heaven into the child’s body.

Little girl with the detached black kajal big eyes, a huge red third eye on his forehead, with tight in a tight beam with hair, always dressed in red, looks out of his little window in the patio of the Palace-Temple of Kumari Che. She is always serious, never smiles and does not cry in public. Her name is Kumari – the living goddess. She from 3 to 12 years. She is chosen by priests from a special caste of people close to the royal court, as a living embodiment of the most terrible and powerful goddess of Nepal. Any of her word is the law, any order of her order is obligatory to fulfill, and disobedience is punishable until death. People go to her for whole days. Upon reaching the girl of puberty, a new goddess is elected. Previous returns home, becoming a common death and receiving a well-deserved retirement from the government.
