Cabo Frio (Cabo Frio), also known as Cape Frio – Resort town on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in the east of Brazil, located 20 km south-west of Buzios and 146 km east of Rio de Janeiro. Population – 190 786 people (2019).

The city was founded by Portuguese November 13, 1615.

Kabi Frou is a popular beach resort that attracts numerous beach holidays and surphist lovers from all over Brazil, as well as from neighboring countries – Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.

Economy Kabi Frieu is mainly based on tourism, many hotels have been built here, numerous shops, restaurants and nightclubs work.

There is also own international airport that takes mainly domestic flights and charters from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay (in the summer season).

Praia Do Forte – The main city beach, with a length of about 7.5 km, with small white sand, the most crowded. In its northern part there is a portuguese fort 16th century.

Praia Do Peruó) and Praia Das-Conch (Praia Das Conchas) – Two beach, located 7 km from the city center and conventionally separated from each other with a small rock. Peru Beach is popular with surficists. On the beaches there are bars and restaurants with live music.

Praia Brava (Praia BRAVA) – 400-meter beach, surrounded by cliffs, a popular place for nudist holidays, as well as surfingists.
