From February 24 to February 27, the last week of the annual Dominican Carnival, in Santo Domingo will be held the first international festival Bachats – the traditional musical style and dance of the Dominican Republic. The festival guests are waiting for unrestrained dancing, parties in pools and city clubs, dance workshops, as well as live performances of such famous performers as Teodoro Reyes, El Peque?O De La Bachata, El Coronel Collective and Young Melanie Star (Melani Tejada). The last day of the festival will have to the independence day of the Dominican Republic, which will begin with a solemn parade, and will end the farewell dance in the hotel.
During the festival, everyone will be able to learn to dance Bachati under the guidance of experienced Dominican instructors. Western masters will also take part in the program, who in turn will hold classes on Salsa, Bachatango and other Latin American dances. The Organizing Committee of the First International Festival Bachats was headed by famous musical producers Weight Parkkari (Vesa Parkkari) from Finland and Rodchart (Rodchata, or Rodney Aquino) from the USA. Dominican Music Association (Dominican Music Association) assigned Parcari Title "Ambassador Bachaty" (Bachata Ambassador) for his works to promote this musical direction in the world; Recruitment – instructor and head promoter Bachats in the USA, founder of American bacata festivals.
