Gwatela volcanoes provide excellent conditions for mountain travel, and if you take into account their activity, the climbing on local mountains will acquire a pronounced extreme character. One of the most visited volcanoes of the country is Pasayia (2252 m) near the capital. Excursions to this constantly active volcano are allowed only as part of a group and with an experienced guide. On the volcano Agua (or HunApa, 3776 m) can be spent the night in the crater, where there is a hut for 30 people. Caves Aktun-Kan, Hobcins, Lancong and La Candelaria – Main areas of speleology.
