150th anniversary of Gustav Clima
In 2012, the 150th anniversary of the famous Austrian artist Gustav Klimt will celebrate in Vienna (July 18, 1862 – February 6, 1918), who is considered the founder of modern in Austrian painting. Currently, Vienna is actively preparing for celebrations. Tourists in 2012 will be provided with a unique opportunity to fully get acquainted with the work of this artist – the next year in several museums of the veins will be held by Clima exhibitions, where about 800 works will be presented.
First exhibition – "Gustav Klimt and Josef Hofman – Modern Pioneers" opens in Lower Belvedere. It will work until March 4, and on June 15 another exhibition will open in Upper Belvedere – "150 years Gustavu Klimt". In addition to exhibitions in the Palace of Belvedher, Climt’s paintings can be seen in the Museum of Art History, where they will be shown from February 14 to May 6. Clima’s drawings from March 14 to June 10 at the Albertina Museum, and photos and letters – at the Leopold Museum from February 24 to August 27.
The largest exhibition will be held from May 16 to September 16 at the Museum of Vienna, where 400 artists will be presented, as well as his personal belongings.
In addition to exposures, a book will be released for the anniversary of Gustav Clima, and the anniversary site began to work.
